The EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi, will visit Albania this Thursday, April 28 where he will meet with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
In June, EU member states will decide whether to give Albania and North Macedonia the green light for their first Intergovernmental Conference.
Varhelyi’s visit to Tirana comes after a tour around other neighboring countries, including Croatia, Bulgaria, and North Macedonia.
Earlier on, PM Rama declared that if Bulgaria refuses to lift its veto on North Macedonia, Albania will change its approach to opening negotiations.
