The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, has declared today that Vjosa Osmani’s elections as the Head of State, shows that Kosovo is entering a period of monism.

In an interview for KosovoPress, Haradinaj stated that the way that the majority force secured the necessary votes for a quorum, showed that the country isn’t facing the best days ahead.

He addressed the accusations of the opposition MPs, who voted for Vjosa Osmani, one of whom was Albena Reshitaj from the ranks of AAK.

He said that these MPs altered the will of the citizens that voted them in power on February 14th.

“So, the president was chosen through a contraband of votes, through MPs that for the sake of their own personal interest, altered the will of their voters,” said Haradinaj.

Vjosa Osmani was elected as the new President of Kosovo, following the third round of voting, which secured her 71 votes out of the 61 that were needed.

Thus, she became Kosovo’s 6th president.
