The preferential vote count in the Tirana district has concluded.

Olta Xhaçka has secured a parliamentary mandate for the Socialist Party, narrowly defeating Blerina Gjylameti.

Xhaçka received 6,213 votes, compared to Gjylameti’s 6,085.

Following the result, Gjylameti has officially submitted a request to the State Election Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi, asking for access to the video footage of the vote counting process in Tirana.
