Journalist Thimi Samarxhiu reported from a voting center in Washington, describing the process and the high participation of citizens who chose the last day of voting to express their verdict.
According to the journalist, citizens have two options to vote: with a traditional ballot or electronically, choosing the way they prefer. Voting centers have been open since 07:00 in the morning and will remain open until 20:00.
“Citizens can choose within a polling station between paper voting or electronic voting. There are both options and the citizens choose it themselves. Voting centers here have been open since 07:00 in the morning and will continue until 20:00. What stands out is a high interest in this last day of voting. Voting in the USA started on October 28 through preliminary voting. Today is the last day where it will be decided who will be the new president of the United States,” said journalist Samarxhiu.
On the East Coast, after 8 a.m., voting is underway in more than half of the US states.
