Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani said on Thursday that her Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic shares the same mentality with that of former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic.
Her statement comes after President Vucic criticized PM Albin Kurti over his stance on Serbia’s arms buildup, reported local media KosovaPress.
Osmani recalled that Vucic served as a minister in the cabinet of Milosevic during the war, adding that she is not surprised by his rhetoric.
“Aleksandar Vucic was the minister of propaganda during the wars in former Yugoslavia, stirred by his ex-chiefs. We shouldn’t be surprised by the language used by Milosevic’s former minister”, she added.
Osmani said that the arming of Serbia by China, but also by Russia in the last decade, shows that Belgrade has no interest in regional stability or peace.
