Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic declared that the actions undertaken by Kosovo’s authorities were endorsed by Western powers.

More specifically, President Vucic pointed his finger at the UK.

“I have great relations with Britain, and always will have, but I will not allow them to make a fool out of me”, declared Vucic during an interview for a Serbian local media channel.

Vucic said that the whole story behind the special unit’s anti-smuggling operation was a fabrication, adding that it is offensive to his intelligence.

“They will conduct another similar operation soon. They will send their units to another place where Albanians live just to say that they are combatting corruption and crime”, he said.

During an emergency meeting called by the Serbian President at a military barrack, he declared that Albanians have the backing of at least one country “which is not a member of the EU”, but without making any further elaborate specifications.

According to him, Western powers are inciting Albanians in order to destabilize the region, and mainly Serbia.
