Serbia’s president, Aleksandar Vucic declared that Belgrade won’t recognize or implement any of the sanctions imposed by the United State government against Republica Srpska’s president, Milorad Dodik.
“Serbia doesn’t think that the solution comes through sanctions and there is no doubt that Republika Srpska won’t agree with any of their points,” – said Vucic.
In addition, he said that the U.S. is introducing numerous challenges not only towards Republika Srpska but Serbia as well.
Vucic expressed his concern regarding the latest sanctions while adding that Serbia will nonetheless have to preserve a rational and dignified relationship with the United States.
Despite this stance, various Serbian media have reported that Vucic is thought to have expressed his willingness to help substitute Milorad Dodik if needed.
The US Chamber of Commerce for the Control of Foreign Assets has declared that the sanctions against Dodik and other officials in Bosnia were undertaken due to continued corruption that threatens national stability.
