Albania is committed to generating electricity not only to fulfill its own demand but also to be able to export it.
Plans on starting operations at the Vlora Thermal Power Plant, the construction of the Skavica hydropower plant, as well as the gas Adriatic-Ionian gas pipeline are among the sites expected to grant Albania energy efficiency within 10 years.
In order to achieve that goal, several American companies sat down with the Albanian government ready to contribute to the area.
In their word, ambassador Kim and PM Edi Rama mentioned Russian energy sources, adding that both Albania and Europe must gradually distance themselves.
