Kosove Gjoci, the correspondent of Euronews Albania in the neighboring country, reported that the situation in the north of Kosovo is currently calm.
A joint conference between Prime Minister Kurti and the Minister of Internal Affairs, Svecla, ended a bit before noon.
“According to him, everything is working properly and the situation is calm. He has also shown that the Kosovo police with the capacities they have managed to cover the void that was created after the resignation of the police in that part of Kosovo,” the journalist said.
However, after recent developments, the situation in the north remains fragile and vigilance is at a maximum level. This Monday, Serbian judges and administrative employees in North Mitrovica resigned from their official duties.
A total of 19 Serbian judges worked in the court of this city. In turn, 400 policemen from the Serbian community who left two days ago were replaced by policemen from the Albanian community.
