New Year’s Eve is the most preferred holiday of the Albanian people. 96% of them said that New Year’s Even is among the top three most important holidays for them.
Barometer Survey asked citizens what is their favorite holiday and what do they usually do on that day.
In terms of religious holidays, Eid al-Adha tops the list at 63%.
Then, comes Christmas (27.4%) and Easter (21%).
National holidays did not make it to the most preferred list.
Less than one in ten Albanians (6%) picked Flag Day, and even fewer people (2.6%) chose Liberation Day.
The poll was conducted from 20-30 November 2021 and carried out by MRB and Data Centrum on a national scale, with 1,000 face-to-face household interviews.
