Five women and a man are the lawmakers that have won the largest share of the citizens’ trust.

Ogerta Manastirliu (18.4%), Belinda Balluku (15.1%), and Olta Xhaçka (11.8%) are the three Socialist MP trusted the most by Albanians, who are also the ministers of health, infrastructure, and foreign affairs.

The three MPs were among the most trusted by the Socialist electorate, respectively 35.2%, 26%, and 19.1% as per the order listed above.

Among Democrats, Grida Duma is perceived as the most trustworthy (21.2%), followed by Agron Shehaj (20.5%) and Jorida Tabaku (9.8%). Duma and Tabaku are also the deputy leaders of the DP, while Shehaj raced against Basha for the party’s leadership.

Democrat voters also listed them as the most trusted, but in higher figures, especially Duma (44.6%) and Shehaj (36.1%).

These are the results from Barometer on Euronews Albania after asking citizens to list three MPs that they trust the most, except for the party leader.

The nationwide survey was conducted by Euronews Albania, MRB, and Data Centrum from 20-29 October 2021.

A majority of Albanians, two out of ten, chose Grida Duma as one of the MPs they believed the most. From DP’s voters, nearly 45% chose Duma.

The second Democrat MP is Agron Shehaj, who was also the second most voted among Democrats in the general elections. In total, he has won over the trust of 20% of Albanians, and 36% of his party’s electorate.

The deputy chair of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, ranked third. On a country scale, 9.8% of citizens declared to trust Tabaku, and 18.6% of Democrats picked her among the list of MPs.
