COVID-19 pandemic changed work patterns and led many companies to turn to virtual meetings to overcome physical distance and maintain their businesses.
According to Eurostat data, 37.7% of Albanian enterprises with 10 or more employees have applied this form of working from home.
This figure is lower than the average of European countries, where according to the same report, during the year 2022, 50% of enterprises or self-employed persons in the countries of the European union have conducted remote meetings via Internet.
Sweden is the country that most applied this innovation dictated by the rules of isolation. 79.4% of Swedish companies conducted online meetings, followed by Finland, Denmark, Malta and Ireland.
While the lowest percentages were recorded in Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Greece and Slovakia.
Mostly large enterprises offered remote work access by giving employees access to the e-mail system, documents and business applications or enterprise software.
In 2022, in the EU, almost 6 out of 10 enterprises offered all three types of remote access to their employees.
