The Albanian economic crisis is a direct result of decisions made by the Rama administration, said Democratic MP Jorida Tabaku.
Tabaku said this during her word before members of parliament this Thursday.
“Albania is going through a deep economic crisis, a crisis that has nothing to do with the war, or global dynamics, but it’s got everything to do with one individual and his economic policies through the years. We’re seeing a rise in prices, a rise in poverty, and everyone can feel in his own pockets. This situation began in late 2021, prior to the Russian aggression” – said the Democratic MP.
Tabaku also underlined that 42% of the total monthly spending of Albanian families goes for food and groceries.
“30% of Albanians live with less than $5 dollars a day. The corruption crisis is knocking on our doors. It’s not a coincidence that our main fuel distributors are oligarchs,” – added Tabaku.
