Tirana’s District Police arrested a 30-year-old man after a police operation dubbed ‘Guest’.

Qerim Kasniqi, a resident of Kamenica, Kosovo, had scammed a citizen out of 135 thousand euros, under the claim that he would invest it in opening up a call centre business.

From preliminary investigations, police conclude that Kasniqi had run similar scams with several other citizens in Albania, from whom he was able to obtain different sums of money.

This operation was finalized by the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Unit at Tirana’s DVP, in collaboration with Tirana’s District Prosecution and the First Instance Court.
