The Democratic Party is holding its leadership elections this Sunday, during which the party’s new leader will be determined.
Voting started at 08:00 this morning and will end at 18:00.
Euronews Albania’s reporter Ardit Hoxha reported that the process has continued normally until 10:00 and that a high voter turnout had been registered at DP’s main headquarters.
Members of Tirana’s 2nd division as well as members of the National Council will be eligeble to vote at the party’s main headquarters.
Meanwhile, the candidates for DP’s new leader will be former PM Sali Berisha and DP’s former district leader in Kukes, Ibsen Elezi.
Elections for DP’s new leader will be held in 108 ballot stations set up across the entire country.
