6 citizens lost their lives due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, whereas 1.562 new cases were confirmed.

New infections were detected as a result of 5.779 tests, which also confirmed that 1.642 citizens had successfully recovered. Since the outbreak of the pandemic in our country, a total of 225,835 recoveries have been recorded.

In Albania, there are currently 23,419 active cases. 127 citizens have been hospitalized, 9 of whom are exhibiting serious forms of the virus.

The ministry of health has continued its appeals to citizens, urging them to get vaccinated as soon as possible and comply with all anti-COVID measures.

All citizens over the age of 16 can get vaccinated in Albania, at any of the health centers or vaccination clinics closest to them. Children over the age of 12 that suffer from an autoimmune disease can also get vaccinated, provided that they can get a doctor’s recommendation.
