The Global Opportunity Index placed Albania in the 78th position in terms of attractiveness to foreign investors.
Moreover, the country was listed fourth among states with the largest positional change in index ranking as it dropped -15 points, with a major deterioration in financial services.
The Global Opportunity Index evaluates the attractiveness of a state to international investors by combining various factors such as economic, financial, and institutional.
These factors are then divided into the five subcategories namely: Business Perception, Economic Fundamentals, Financial Services, Institutional Framework, and International Standards and Policy.
On a global scale, Albania ranked 99 in Financial Services, 85 in Institutional Framework, and 61 in Business Perception.
The study gives investors the possibility to visualize the potentials and opportunities offered by a specific country, as well as their performance in the last 5 years.
