The ministry of health has notified that today, Kosovo is expecting to receive 38 400 anti-COVID vaccines, part of the COVAX scheme.
“As a result, taking into consideration the other 24 000 doses that have already arrived a week ago, now there’s a total of 62 400 doses. This next batch is expected to arrive in Kosovo on Wednesday morning. With the arrival of these vaccine doses, the inoculation process of the categories of the population foreseen by the State Plan against COVID-19,” notified the ministry.
During the first days of April, Kosovo accepted 4 thousand 680 doses of the BionTech/Pfizer vaccine, out of the est. 95. 000 total.
These vaccines are expected to arrive in Kosovo at a time when the epidemiologic situation in Kosovo has considerably improved.
During the last 24 hours, only three citizens who had contracted the coronavirus lost their lives.
In addition, 346 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic to 98.223, whereas the total number of currently active cases is at 6 102.
