As the political directors of the Democratic Party were taking turns to hold a brief speech from the podium of the National Assembly, Agron Shehaj, was seen walking out of the premises after Basha finished his word.
Another important figure that was not seen at the Assembly was Bujar Nisha, the head of the party’s national council, as well as Edith Harxhi, another former candidate for the party’s leadership.
Fatbardh Kadilli was the only other former candidate that was present to vote for the new members of the National Council as well as the amendments of the party’s statute.
Agron Shehaj was one of the candidates running for the Democratic Party’s leadership.
During his word, Basha took an aim against those who according to him took actions that run counter the party’s interests for “personal temporary gains”.
“You will always have my hand if you want to join our activities and return to our values, but I will never turn my face away on those maltreating the sacrifices of the Democrats for personal temporary gains”.
The Democratic Party’s National Assembly convened to choose the member of the National Council as well as vote on the amendments of the party’s statute.
