981 children and teens in Albania have been vaccinated with either 1 or 2 anti-COVID doses.

The percentage of children who were vaccinated from January 11, 20211 to December 31, 2032, was 0.17%.

In the official response given to Euronews Albania by the Ministry of Health, it states that 122 children from 12-15 years old, were inoculated with one Pfizer shot.

In addition, 45 children of this same age group have received both anti-COVID vaccines. No Albanian children however have received their third booster shots.

On the other hand, 859 teens ranging from 16-17 years old have received one anti-COVID shot, whereas 345 others have received both shots.

Tirana, Shkodra, Berati, and Kukes are amongst the districts with the highest number of vaccinations overall. The total number of doses administered here reaches 1.376.

The low number of vaccinations says a lot about the hesitation of Albanian parents to vaccinate their children.
