Renowned Albanian writer Bardhyl Londo has passed away at 74 years old.
Londo studies at the University of Tirana and worked for several years as a language teacher in Permet after moving on to the literary newspaper Drita.
In addition, Londo was the head of the Alliance of Writers and Artists.
He published 8 poems and several novels amongst which ‘Gunshots and roses’ (1975), ‘Footsteps on the road’ (1981), ‘How to calm down the ocean’ (1988), etc.
In 1989, Londo was presented with the Migjeni Writers Award.
Londo’s literary style leaned towards the abstract, as he preferred to have his works evoke life’s most intense emotional experiences.
