EU’s special envoy Josep Borrell will be on an official visit to Tirana today.
Borrell will be meeting with PM Edi Rama and foreign minister Olta Xhacka.
After their meeting, the high officials will hold a joint press conference planned for 11:00 CET.
EU’s Special Envoy will also be meeting with other Albanian authorities and representatives of civil society, and he will also inspect the restoration work on the mosaic of our National Museum of History – which is being renovated following the 2019 earthquake through a dedicated fund donated by the EU.
Borrell is continuing his tour in the region. Yesterday, he was in North Macedonia where he met president Stevo Pendarovski, MFA Bujar Osmani, minister of defense Slavjanka Petrovska, Parliament speaker Talat Xhferi and other political leaders.
His mini-Balkan tour will continue with a visit to Sarajevo this Wednesday.
