Albania and Germany have signed a joint agreement in Tirana, today which includes the official recognition of license plates by both countries.
The news was announced by the German Embassy in our country, which also announced the agreement signed by the Head Secretary of Parliament at the Federal Ministry of Digital Development and Infrastructure, Oliver Luksic, MdB, and the minister of energy and infrastructure Belinda Balluku.
The new rules come into force on June 1, 2022 and are valid for all residents in Germany.
All citizens who hold one of the following licenses: A, A1, A2, B, BE, C, C1, C2, D, D1, D2 for motorcycles, cars, trucks and buses, released after January 24, 2014, can apply to convert their documents without needing to pass an additional driver’s test.
This agreement will pave the way for Albanians who wish to have greater legal access to the job market in Germany for jobs that often require a driver’s license as a prerequisite.
