The Director of the Office for Kosovo, Petar Petkovic, said Kosovo’s decision to impose reciprocity when crossing the border with IDs and invalidating ‘Kosovska Mitrovica’ license plates is a direct blow to all Serbs.

“It is unacceptable for internationals to keep silent and claim that they are incapable in face of this threat for a conflict and vengeance, meanwhile Albin Kurti prepares to start a major conflict against Serbs by the end of September”, Petkovic was cited as saying by Serbian media.

President Aleksandar Vucic said the situation in the Balkans has undergone a major change.

“We’re always ready to dialogue, but there are some others who have never been ready for a fundamental discussion and have the support of Western powers”, he said.

“They [Kosovo] have the full support of the UK and Germany”, added Vucic.

“They took two decisions. One has to do with banning entrance in the country with IDs and the other one has the sole objective to ban Serbs from the north in order to create a new storm”, Vucic said.

“There can be no dialogue under these circumstances. There will be many problems. We will always try to preserve peace, but others don’t want that, not only Kosovo Albanians, but their mentors, too”, concluded Vucic.
