The American Chamber of Commerce expressed a ‘serious concern’ today about the recent draft on fiscal amnesty in Albania, but according to PM Rama this is a “complete lack of respect for Albania’s sovereignty”.
The Prime Minister accused the Chamber of having conducted secret transactions, and according to Rama, he has the proof to back up these claims.
“I want to remind all of you and our international partners. The world is at war. Albania is part of this war. Unlike other countries. Albania has made decisions that have had a high cost. If the war continues beyond a specific limit, it could become unbearable,” – said Rama, while adding that now is precisely the right time to apply this fiscal amnesty.
In addition, Rama highlighted that in the past, fiscal amnesty has been legally applied in all the countries that are currently giving Albania lessons.
