Prime Minister Edi Rama in his speech at the joint meeting of the Parliaments of Kosovo and Albania said that Albanians today, 110 years after the declaration of Independence of Albania, have more rights than ever before.

Rama expressed full confidence that the recognition of Kosovo will come much faster than it took to declare independence as a state, while he brought to attention the fact that the Albanians in the Republic of Macedonia and Montenegro today have a speaker of parliament and a prime minister.

According to Rama, there are two names missing from the hall of the Parliament of Albania on this special day, Ibrahim Rugova and Hashim Thaci.

“I will bring two names here to attention without which neither the arrival of this day nor the continuity after this day can be understood, LDK and UCK. Both of these are related to Ibrahim Rugova, a great absentee today after he passed away prematurely, but with a mission accomplished, and Hashim Thaci, another great absentee in this hall, who is separated from us temporarily with a mission that continues”, said Rama.

On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the Independence of Albania, a joint meeting of the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo and the Parliament of the Republic of Albania was held in the Parliament of the Republic of Albania in Tirana.
