The Albanian Prime Minister spoke about the changes that Albania has gone through in its path to the European Union, describing it as “neurotic”.
“The process toward the EU is a neurotic process. Albania is being hostage to a blockage between our neighbor North Macedonia and Bulgaria. It is one of those situations that the EU can create. There is no book or explanation on how it can be managed. How can you be a hostage to the disagreements of two countries? But that’s how it is… as Donald Trump used to say. We must not lose our patience and desire for Europe”, Rama said.
The head of the government also emphasized that despite countless problems encountered, there is no other way but patience for Albania.
“Europe is our only plan. We have a lot to give to the region. Problems create divisions only”, Rama said.
