The remarks of Prime Minister Edi Rama on the national unification between Albania and Kosovo triggered a reaction from Russia, but according to analyst Andi Bushati, the Albanian government doesn’t really have a clear stance on this topic.

On tonight’s Shock, Bushati called for prudence when speaking about topics that have to do with territorial unification or disintegration in order not to leave any space to misunderstandings, while calling Rama’s statement “a foreign policy circus”

“This is not the first time that Rama does this. We do not know the solid stance of the Albanian government on the unification matter. There is no stance, only declarations from the prime minister”, said Bushati.

But according to Baton Haxhiu, the national unification rhetoric has always generated various reactions, dismissing that Rama’s intent was just propaganda.

The analyst from Kosovo said that he has always welcomed approaches that favor unification, regardless of who voices them, but according to him this aspiration has been waning from both sides.

“I like whoever has an approach in favor of unification with Kosovo. It must begin with a stance, although there have been ups and downs of this desire and reluctance from both sides”, concluded Haxhiu.
