The world tournament being held in Serbia began amid controversy after Kosovo’s national team was prohibited from entering the competition if they were to show their national symbols on the uniform.

The International Boxing Association (AIBA) called on Serbian authorities to step back and allow the Kosovar team but to no avail.

Around 650 boxers from 105 countries are competing for the world title.
