Rising prices in local markets remain a concern of Albanian citizens.
These were the findings of a Bank of Albania survey on citizens’ sentiment about the economy.
Albania’s Central Banks asked a set of 12 questions to random citizens, regarding the financial state, prices, savings, and large purchases.
The majority of participants said that their basic monthly spending has contributed to lowering their monthly savings.
In addition, they also said that this situation will accompany them in the near future, as they will no longer be able to make big purchases like investing in a home or a vehicle.
Findings from the survey also showed that citizens’ trust in the economy went down by 6.7 percentage points since March.
This figure speaks to what would be the most difficult moment for Albanian citizens since the beginning of the pandemic back in March 2020.
