To draw a comparison between oil prices in Albania and other countries around the world, we looked to our followers for some insight.
Albanians living abroad reached out to Euronews Albania by sending us snippets of gas stations and fuel stops that showed some interesting facts.
Once again, we came to the conclusion that the price of oil in our country is much higher than many other countries in Europe and the US, despite the fact that our average wage and cost of living is much lower.c
“Hello, from the Czech Republic, where the price of oil is 1.5 euros per liter,” – said one of the Albanian citizens living abroad.
“Hello from France, our oil price here is 1.78 euros,” – said another citizen.
“Hello from Germany, where we pay 1.65 euros for our oil,” – said another Albanian citizen.
Compared to the price of oil in the United States, in Albania we have to pay twice as much, at a time when the average wage in Albania is 8.7 times lower than that in the US.
