Analyst Andi Bushati does not believe in the veracity of PM Edi Rama’s calls toward SPAK in investigating former PM Sali Berisha and President Ilir Meta.

According to him, Rama has control over the institution, taking as an example for that argument all scandals that have not been investigated in recent years.

Bushati said Rama is trying to create an “artificial debate” just to create a general idea in the public that SPAK has fallen into the hands of his political opponents.

Bushati also added that there are many from the opposition who actually believe that, thinking that the prime minister is worried about SPAK’s investigation of the incinerator affairs.

Bushati argues that is not the case because even those political figures from the Socialist camp who are now facing justice, were in fact handed to justice by Rama himself.

He also emphasized that although Rama is demanding an investigation into Meta, the Albanian prime minister co-governed with the latter during his first mandate, as well as voted for him on his second term.

“SPAK is turning into a blind wheel of autocracy. They [SPAK Prosecutors] who Yuri Kim call the heroes of our children, are a shame to all Albanians, because under an alias of a new justice, are committing new injustices”, Bushati said.
