Leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha declared today that after the Apirl 25 elections, the real war on crime and corruption will begin.

“We shall start the real war and the real national effort against corruption, organized crime and traffic of narcotics. For the past 8 years this hasn’t happened,” emphasized the leader of the Democrats.

During a forum organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Political Academy, Basha pointed out that during these past 8 years, nothing has been done in order to improve and increase collaboration prospects with the EU.

“The government in my administration will lead these efforts through major budgets, through an increase in security forces, through the use of technology and through a close collaboration with countries of the European Union and other strategic partners, in order to guarantee the total elimination of crime in Albania. These aren’t some simple elections, they represent a war in the name of democracy,” stated Basha.
