At least 10 officers injured, 50 fans detained in chaos ahead of Conference League match

Chaotic situations have been reported across the Albanian capital, Tirana as Roma and Feyenoord football fans clashed with the police on Tuesday evening, one night before the much-anticipated UEFA Conference League final match.

Violence erupted near the Air Albania stadium and the Police Directorate,

Sources said at least 10 officers were injured and over 50 football fans from both football clubs were taken into police custody.

The police used tear gas to disperse the crowds.

The city is also reporting material damages as fans were seen running loose holding sticks and covering their face with masks, while bashing garbage bins and smashing light poles.
