Albanian President Bajram Begaj is in Slovenia, where he is participating in the meeting of the Leaders of the Brdo-Brijuni Process.

Through a post on social networks where he distributed photos from the meeting, Begaj said that the topic of the discussions was the promotion of regional cooperation and expansion in the EU.

Begaj also mentioned the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue for which he expressed full support and which according to him, serves security and peace in the region.

“Honored to participate today in the meeting of the Leaders of the Brdo-Brijuni Process, the highest political platform in the Western Balkans. It is very important to openly discuss the promotion of regional cooperation as well as to send the common message that the expansion process is already a geopolitical and geostrategic issue.

An accelerated path of rapprochement with the EU is now necessary. Full support for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, as the only way for a sustainable solution that serves peace, security and progress in the region”, writes Begaj on Facebook.
