The ceremony among former president Bill Clinton begins before the palace of prime minister. Ceremony started with the performance of the national anthems of the USA and Albania.

After the opening speech by Prime Minister Rama, at 19:25 the ceremony honoring the 42nd President of the USA, Bill Clinton, with the “Star of Appreciation for Public Achievements” will take place, which will be followed by the President’s speech.

After that, Prime Minister Edi Rama and the 42nd President of the USA, Bill Clinton, made the ceremonial parade and honored the flags of the two countries.

It seems that the Prime Minister’s call to participate was answered not only by citizens, but also by members of the democratic party, or other small parties. Lulzim Basha, Agron Gjekmarkaj, Jorida Tabaku, Enkelejd Alibeaj, Selaudin Jakupllari, Arbi Agalliu, Merita Bakiu and Orjola Pampuri are the deputies of the Democratic Party who have so far joined the atmosphere awaiting former President Clinton.

Also the Embassy of the United States of America has published a welcome message for former American President Bill Clinton, considering the former president’s visit a significant moment that clearly proves the lasting friendship between two countries.

“Welcome to Tirana President Clinton! The former President’s first visit to Albania is a significant moment in the stable friendship between our countries”, writes the embassy.

Former US President Bill Clinton has arrived in Tirana for a two-day visit. Clinton was received in Rinas airoport by Prime Minister Edi Rama and the US Deputy Ambassador in Tirana. At 19:00, the ceremony in honor of the former president began, where, apart from political representatives, ordinary citizens were also invited to participate.

Hundreds of residents of the capital have gathered in the square in front of the prime minister’s office in anticipation of the ceremony in honor of the former president, who is visiting Tirana for the first time.
