The Annual Book Fair – an important cultural event that takes place each year in Tirana – is going to be held in the Palace of Congress from November 17-21.
Authors from Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro and North Macedonia will have the chance to once again come face-to-face with their readers because last year, due to the pandemic, they were only able to hold an online event.
“There will be a total of 90 publishing houses and other operators that are involved in the book industry. We have hundreds of new titles,” – said Petrit Ymeri, head of the Publisher’s Association.
Like always, the calendar of events will be completely dedicated to books, starting from seminars, discussions, and meetings with famous writers from Albania and abroad – a unique space will also be dedicated to young writers and translators.
The entire sum of books present in recent years has been dominated by foreign titles, but this year there will be a considerable edition of new local authors.
Book fair organizers have also announced that there won’t be any pandemic requirements to enter the event, like vaccination certificates or a COVID-19 test. However, during the entire duration of the activity, large gatherings won’t be allowed.
