Security expert Artan Rexhepi said in an interview for Euronews Albania that the State Police should remove incriminated persons from its structure.

Rexhepi also commented on the case of Traffic Police officer Florenc Bicerri, who was arrested in Turkey for drug trafficking.

He said that based on information he had received, it is related to an exchange of cannabis for heroin.

“The police must start cleaning themselves up, and this must be done very quickly. The drug case, based on the information I received, relates to cannabis being expensive in Turkey and there is talk of exchanging it for heroin. The police passed several filters before being appointed. Not everyone can become a police officer. The State Police is being massively criminalized,” he said.

Rexhepi further underlined that many commandos are also dangerous when it comes to their involvement with the crime world.
