A group that goes by the name Homeland Justice claims that they were the ones behind the cyberattack against e-Albania.

In order to prove this, the group published a folder containing several folders belonging to important government institutions in Albania.

Their argument for undertaking this attack was the following slogan: “Why should we have to pay our taxes for the terrorists of Durres,” – referring to the former Iranian mojahedins (MEK) who are currently being sheltered in Manze, Durres.

PM Edi Rama declared this Wednesday that the cybercrime was organized by one of two countries that are currently under suspicion.

The head of government also emphasized that experts from NATO have also been involved in the counterattack against the hackers.

For several days now, online systems all over the country have been attacked by cybercriminals. According to the National Information Agency, the sophisticated cyberattack is coming from an overseas location.
