The Prosecution Office of Kavaja ruled the death of four Russian tourists in a beach resort as “murder committed under other qualifying circumstances”.

On October 15, the two couples, a family traveling with their daughter and her fiancée, were found with no signs of life at the hotel’s SPA.

Until now, the Prosecution has not released a warrant on any suspect, although it ruled the case a homicide.

“In this phase of the investigation we have administered several acts and evidence related to the case which is being verified by the prosecution”, an official statement read.

At first, authorities alleged that the four victims were asphyxiated after staying too long at the indoor pool premises, but now the prosecution is looking at it as murder.
