The Democratic Party bears responsibility for hiding the incinerator affair from their political agenda for two years.
These were the words used by Albanian journalist Blendi Fevziu in an interview on Euronews Albania’s daily show ‘Today’.
Fevziu said that the Democratic Party owned documentation proving the corruption that was going on with the waste incinerator plants before it blew up in the media.
“In October 2020, when the case blew up from the media, the DP had documents to prove that. However, the story simply vanished and at the time they said that they were focused on economic issues”, said Fevziu.
“The case was brought back to the table when Berisha started getting some attention. The DP is responsible for hiding this ordeal from its political agenda for about two years,” he added. “They knew about the Tirana incinerator and stayed silent”.
