The leader of the Democratic Party’s Youth Forum, Belind Këlliçi, said during an interview on Euronews Albania that the list of candidates represents the “strong roots of the party”, as well as of the youth that seeks to protect its own interests in the Albanian Assembly.
Këlliçi said that citizens are “disappointed” and “distrustful of politics” due to the involvement of individuals with a criminal past in the parliament in the past years.
“You have to be the advocate of the people and bring the model of a well-educated person, a citizen heading to the Assembly to pass good laws for the youth. Drug traffickers entering the assembly in the last years left youth in oblivion”, said the candidate of the Democratic Party.
According to him, the program of the Democrats is “achievable” and for this reason, all the promises he has made in the electoral districts he is running for have been written with a group of experts in order to give a real solution to concrete problems.
“I’ve been in all the areas I am running for. We went with a group of experts and took note of all problematics. I promised things that are achievable. Throughout my activities, I’ve been the model of a young person that has advanced through work and dedication only. I believe in the power of the individual, not of the state”, concluded Këlliçi.
