Montenegro’s presdinet, Milo Dukanovic has made a surprising statement about the Open Balkan initiative, calling it “more than controversial, and an alternative plot to keep the Western Balkans out of the European Union”.

According to Dukanovic, the Balkans doesn’t need this but what it does need, is to join the EU.

“Those who don’t see our region in Europe, don’t see a multi-ethnic democracy in the Balkans. They like the idea of changing the borders, and ethnic and religious homogenization of chosen nations.

As usual, everything starts traditionally from the Serbian side. This time around, the ‘Serbian world’. And this continues automatically with the same wrongdoers of the bigger nation,” – said Dukanovic.

He continued by saying that the goal of the authors of Open Balkan is to wipe out Bosnia Hercegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo and North Macedonia, adding that this would surely end in a “war and another genocide”.
