Democrat MP Lefter Geshtenja said that the latest parliamentary group meeting which lasted for about 8 years, concluded without any substantial decision on the party’s election and unification process.
Geshtenja said to have introduced an initiative that aims to reunite the party through inclusion.
According to the parliamentarian representing the Elbasan district, the DP is ‘taking steps backward’ and must halt the ‘farce election process’.
“In 31 years, the DP should not regress, but progress. Today as we speak, the DP is on a regress. This was voiced by the majority of MPs attending the parliamentary group meeting. We don’t have the luxury to expel, push away, or bypass a single Democrat”, he added.
Geshtenja also recommended having the parliamentary party take over the electoral process for the internal elections.
