This Tuesday, the first Intergovernmental Conference between Albania and the EU finally started in Brussels.

During the conference, PM Edi Rama gave his remarks, during which he stated that work for the European dream has just begun.

The head of government also vowed that no one will be immune in the Albanian judicial system.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner on Enlargement and Neighborhood, Oliver Varhelyi stated that today is a historic day for the EU and Albania.

According to Varhelyi, the conference is a milestone and a new chapter for Albania-EU relations.

The same thoughts were shared by the EU’s Chief of Foreign Policies, Josep Borrell, who highlighted that the EU needs Albania.

In addition, he said that the EU and Albania are stronger together.
