The Council of Ministers has approved the decision to bring up the minimum wage to 34 thousand ALL and pensions by 6%.
The news was announced by the Minister of Finance and Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj, who emphasized that the decision will come into effect on October 1.
“With this, in the end, we have increased pensions in 2022 by 9.5%. All categories of pensioners benefit from this decision, i.e., about 678,000 pensioners who will receive an increase in their pensions at the level of 9.5%.
We also made a decision regarding the increase of minimum wage nationwide. With this decision, the minimum wage will come into effect at 34 thousand ALL and this is a decision for a large number of employees. There are more than 200,000 employees who work at this level”, the minister declared.
