The General Director of the State Police, Gladis Nano, has dismissed the police officer, Commissioner Arjan Tase, as Head of the Community Policing Section at the Elbasan Police Station, after the latter fatally crashed a 5-year-old child with a speedboat.
Nano has suspended the Director of the Local Border and Migration Directorate of Vlora, Chief Commissioner Shpetim Hasanaliaj, from his duties until the circumstances of the incident are fully clarified.
In relation to this event, the Police Surveillance Agency has also reacted, which said that an investigative group has been set up in connection with this event.
The serious incident took place at noon today on the beach of Potami in Himare, where it is suspected that Arjan Tase lost control of the boat and hit the child to death on the seashore.
