The Albanian government and Durres City Hall will soon begin working on the construction of a new waterfront in Durres, that will start from the Dajlani bridge to Kavalishenca.
The project will cover a length of 3 kilometers, including the expansion of the sandbelt in the area.
Prime Minister Edi Rama and mayor Emiriana Sako said that construction work will start after the tourist season and finish before summer 2023.
“The project must finalize and prepare to begin implementation by fall, after the end of the tourist season”, said Rama.
The architectural planners of Durres Lungomare believe that the project will have a positive economic impact.
So far, there is still no estimate on how much this project will cost.
