Dimitri Chronopoulos, a Greek pastry chef based in Tirana, knew exactly what to do to sweeten up the day for some of the young students at the French International School of Tirana.

In an activity organized by the Greek Embassy, and supported by the French diplomatic mission in Albania, the Greek chef gave a brief lecture on the origins of chocolate.

Students were divided into three groups based on their age, where they tried to get around some of the secrets behind making the art of pastry.

“I am really happy to be in Tirana and I was invited here by the Greek embassy in collaboration with the French one”, Chronopoulos said.

He said that talking to kids about chocolate is a great opportunity. Although young at age, the chef was quite surprised by their mature-like and professional inquiries.

According to him, this will help them in the future to create a culture that weighs in on the importance of food.

The activity could not wrap up in any other way other than chocolate and dessert tasting.
