Head of the Albanian Small and Medium Business Association, Albert Nasto is inviting PM Rama to a public debate regarding the current crisis facing the business sector in our country.
“The prime minister is doing a good job by speaking up but he isn’t listening to the business sector. He isn’t having a straightforward and clear-cut conversation. He’s simply getting together random groups of interest, which we can’t even tell if they’re authentic or not. We haven’t been called to one of his meetings. If he’s willing, we’re ready to come out in a public and televised debate, so we can present our propositions in regards to issues that need tending in our sector,” – said Nasto, during Euronews Albania’s Morning show.
In addition, he underlined that Albania is the last country in the region and all of the Western Balkans, that has yet to receive any form of help from its government since the pandemic.
“During 2021, over 20 thousand businesses were shut down. In 2020, over 40 thousand more. The earthquake and the pandemic had a direct impact on the business sector,” – he added.
